License Policy

The projects created by the Managed Operating System Alliance are open source and released under the terms of the New BSD License.

The New BSD license is sometimes referred to as the “Modified BSD”, "Revised BSD", or “3-clause BSD" license. And the X11 license is sometimes called the “MIT license”.

MOSA may incorporate source code with other compatible open source licenses, such as X11 and most BSD licenses, with the exception of the "Original BSD" license. The original license text must remain intact in the source code.

Source code licensed under any version of the GPL License is not compatible with our “New BSD License”.
